What the second answer means
If you are below your target, the tool assumes you attend every remaining class without missing one. That is the fastest possible recovery, not a realistic plan.
If you are above it, the number of classes you can miss assumes those classes are still held. Miss them and the denominator grows either way.
The 75% figure
It is the most commonly quoted minimum in Indian higher education, and it is set by your own institution or affiliating university — not by any national rule this page could cite.
Some courses set it higher. Some count practicals separately from lectures. Some allow condonation on medical grounds and some do not.
Take the figure from your own institution’s regulations and put that in the field, rather than assuming 75.
